Ruth E. Gano, 97 of Vero Beach, passed away on October 10, 2017 in Vero Beach, FL. Born on May 25, 1920 in Russell, MA, to her parents Fred Bolner and Mary Godown Bolner. She had three brothers and one sister.

Ruth moved to Milford, NJ to live with her grandmother while finishing high school in Frenchtown, NJ. There, she met her husband Lester, who preceded her in death in 2015. They were married for 76 years.

Ruth retired from Lipton Tea in Flemington, NJ. Upon retirement, she moved to Leesburg, FL in 1988 and in 2011 moved to Vero Beach, FL.

Ruth is survived by her son, Robert Gano and wife, Jeanne; daughter, Linda Gass and her husband, Art; five grandchildren, Jeff Ort and his wife, Emmy, Dennis Ort and his wife, Maricia, Chris Ort, Shannon Ort and Jennifer Allen and her husband, Jim. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-granddaughters.

Interment will take place at South Florida National Cemetery.
