Ruth J. Lynn, 78, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, FL.

Ruth was born in Columbus, OH, and graduated high school there. In 1967 she moved to Vero Beach from Cocoa, FL, during her time here she was a dispatcher for the City of Vero Beach Police Department, IRSO Indian River Animal Control, retiring in 2004.

Ruth was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother, but especially loved to spoil her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Burlon Lynn of Vero Beach, FL; sons, Jeff Rhoten of Vero Beach, FL and Duper (Jennifer) Lynn of Vero Beach, FL; daughter, Sandy (Kevin) Conklin of Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Jason, Tabitha, Todd, and Troy Rhoten, Tiffany and Joseph Jordan, Sandy and Brandy Pyke and Cortney Cannon; great grandchildren, R. J. and Jordan Collins, Michelle and Gabrielle Pettry, Justin and Abigail Cannon and Joseph Jordan, Jr.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 6:00 pm, Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and a Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 pm.
