Ruth Mead Ross, 99, of Vero Beach, FL died Monday, October 4, 2010 at Dixie Oak Manor in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Ross was born September 13, 1911 in Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Vero Beach in 2002 from Fishkill, NY.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed painting. Mrs. Ross was a member of the Dutch Reform Church in Fishkill, NY, and was a member of the Garden Club in Pittsburgh, PA.
Survivors include her son, John Ross of Vero Beach, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Thomas Ross. Mrs. Ross is also preceded in death by her parents and one sister.
Services: No local services are planned at this time. Inurnment will follow this spring in Salem, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indian River County Volunteer Ambulance Squad at PO Box 2240, Vero Beach, FL 32961.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Vero Beach, Florida.
