Salome Rosalia Marcinak, 97, of Vero Beach, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at the home of her grandson.

Mrs. Marcinak was born December 21, 1915 in Adrian, PA. She had been a resident of Vero Beach for five years, coming from Winter Park.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a registered nurse.

She was a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, John W. Marcinak; daughters, Judith Rooney of Fort Pierce and Linda Gurtis of Sanford; sons, Donald Marcinak of Geneva and Timothy Marcinak of Wilmington, NC; grandson, Garry Rooney of Vero Beach; granddaughter, Cathleen Rooney of Middletown, NY; grandson, Tyler Marcinak of Stone Mountain, GA; grandson, Clayton Marcinak of Stone Mountain, GA; grandson, Jesse Gurtis of Hollywood, CA; grandson, Jared Gurtis of New Smyrna Beach; granddaughter, Jolene Gurtis of Denver, CO; and granddaughter, Jeanette Gurtis of Orlando.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Saint John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach with Father Michael Massaro officiating. Inurnment will follow on Friday, June 28, 2013 at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
