Salvatore Damora, 97, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Atlantic Health Care in Vero Beach.
Mr. Damora was born March 8, 1911 in Harrison, NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1973 from Parsippany, NJ.
He retired from the New Jersey Transit Authority, where he had worked as a mechanic, before going to work at the Dodgertown Golf Course where he worked as a ranger. He was a member os St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach and the Vista Plantation Golf Club.
Survivors include his son Edward Damora of Vero Beach, daughter Jean Feinberg of Gainesville, FL, brother Gerry Damora of Lyndhurst, NJ, sister Helen DAllessio of West Caldwell, NJ, sister Ann Conn of Las Vegas, NV, five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Caroline Damora.
Services: The family will receive friends 4-7 PM Monday, May 26, 2008 at the Cox-Giford-Seawinds Funeral Home. A Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
