Salvatore Louis Giarizzi, 80, of Vero Beach died Friday, February 24, 2012 at the VNA Hospice House.
Mr. Giarizzi was born January 24, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for 26 years coming from Long Island, NY.

He served in the United States Marine Corps for 20 years and ended his military career as a Master Sergeant.

He served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He received training in cryptoanalysis and electronic intelligence at the Army Security Agency in Ft. Devens and the National Security Agency in Ft. Meade.

He was attended at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Teresa; son Robert Anthony of Vero Beach; daughter Loretta and son in-law Jerry Reynolds of Naples, FL; and six grandchildren, Danielle, Kimberly, Nicholas, Victoria, Brianna and Christopher.

He was preceded in death by his son James Joseph Giarizzi.

Services: Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 PM, with a prayer service at 4PM on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A graveside service will follow on Tuesday, February 28 at 11:15 AM at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth with full military honors.
