Salvatore A. Mirabito, 80, of Vero Beach, died Saturday, October 29, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Mirabito was born November 23, 1929 in Brookyln, NY. He had been a resident of Vero Beach for 11 years, coming from Deer Park, NY.

Prior to his retirement he was a supervisor in Long Island, NY for the Verizon telephone company for 20 years.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Dorothy of Deer Park, NY; son Kevin Mirabito of Deer Park Park, and one granddaughter.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Brown.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 4-7Pm at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory in Vero Beach. A service will follow on Thursday, November 3 at 10AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth.
