Samuel Joseph Boland, 54, entered into this world on November 26, 1962. On that day the world shined a little brighter and what was in store for this man would brighten every person he encountered. His life, albeit short, was full of laughter and love. Sam never met an enemy, and that has been proven time and again through his many adoring family and friends.

He was born to John and Annie Boland in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was the youngest of five siblings. He is pre-deceased by his parents, brother John, and sister Nancy. He leaves behind his loving wife, Deborah; brothers, Michael and Marty; mother in law, Millie; daughter, Meghan and his two fur children, Boots and Dolly. As well as several beloved nieces and nephews.

Being a man with such a giving spirit, he pursued a future in law enforcement. His career started in 1989, as a dispatcher and later as an officer with the Lower Moreland Police Department as well as a Deputy Sheriff in Montgomery County, PA. He was a fire arms instructor and patrolled with the K-9 unit. After leaving his law enforcement career and settling in Florida, he stayed active, supporting the career he loved through the Fraternal Order of Police. He spent a lot of time volunteering for the fallen hero causes, and locally supporting the sheriff's department and police department. Sam was always willing to give his time to those in need. Over the past few years he became deeply involved with supporting the Homeless Veterans in Indian River County.

Sam Boland devoured life. Anyone that knew him can attest to his kind spirit and giving personality. We have all suffered a tremendous loss, but are fortunate for the memories we have made and that we are able to share them with all of you. A memorial gathering will be scheduled at a later time.
