Samuel Joseph Lilli, 85, of Spanish Lakes Fairways, Fort Pierce, FL died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Lilli was born June 23, 1922 in Pittsburgh, PA and moved to Fort Pierce 30 years ago from his birthplace.
He was an accountant prior to his retirement. He was of the Catholic Faith and a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife Anna Mae Lilli of Spanish Lakes Fairways; daughter Carole Strauss of Vero Beach; son Samuel M. Lilli of Orient, OH; sisters Josephine Giovengo of Pittsburgh, PA, Edith Verdi of Pittsburgh, PA and Esther Fanning of Union City, PA; brother Nick Lilli of Baltimore, MD and two grandchildren Samantha Taylor-Lilli of Greensburg, PA and Anna Christine Lilli of Orient, OH.
Services: The family will receive friends 5-7 PM, Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 Noon, Friday, March 7, 2008 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Interment with military honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3918 will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
