Sandra M. Dunlap was born to Stephen and Carolyn Kulcsar on July 14, 1934. As a child of God, she was given 83 years of life with family, friends and loved ones. Those who knew her were blessed by her wit, love of life, and sense of humor. She died peacefully the evening of August 12, 2017 choosing to depart this life privately, after hearing laughter and the sharing of family stories while in hospice care.

She graduated as salutatorian from Central High School in South Bend, Indiana. After high school, she went to work at Studebaker in South Bend Indiana, where she met her husband Grover James (Jim) Dunlap. Jim and Sandy were married on August 28, 1954 and had five children: Pamela, Curtis (wife Elizabeth), Mark (wife Esther), Stuart (wife Lisa), and Anne Marie Dunlap. She also delighted in her 15 grandchildren: Kathryne, Christina, Elizabeth, Kimberly, Patrick, Andrew, Jonathan, Priscilla, Abigail, Kacy, Coen and Liane Dunlap; and Lee (wife Abbey) Abby and Alexis Atwill, and one great grandchild, Aaliyah Marie Atwill.
They had many adventures, but their biggest adventure was moving their family to Tokyo, Japan in 1969. Jim was sent to Tokyo by Kearney and Trecker Machine Tools in Milwaukee, WI to start a joint venture with Toshiba. They moved all five kids and a dog (Strooodle) to reside in the Japanese community. The family lived near the American School in Japan (ASIJ) where the children attended for four years.

After returning to the states after four short years, the family eventually relocated to Cincinnati, OH. With college bills around the corner, Sandy went to work for Drackett Market Research. She enjoyed her career there very much. She often dreamed that she would have been able to go to college, but instead her extra income helped pay for her children's college expenses.

She was devoted to her husband and children. In 1998, Jim and Sandy retired to Vero Beach, Florida. During that time, Sandy attended St. Mark's Anglican Church. Her favorite things included spending time with family and being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She taught her children how to love unselfishly, not complain, and give their very best. Jim and Sandy would have been married 63 years on August 28, 2017. She will be truly missed.

A private service was held on Tuesday August 15th at St. Mark's Anglican Church. Internment of ashes will be at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on Tuesday September 5th, 2017.
