Sandra Elaine Shield, 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, in Vero Beach, Florida.

Born in Binghamton, New York, Sandra was the daughter of the late William and Helen Lander Arthur. She spent many years in Binghamton before relocating to Vero Beach following her retirement from the Binghamton City School District, where she was a dedicated employee and formed lasting friendships. Sandra was a woman who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved working on puzzles and diamond painting, often spending quiet afternoons immersed in her creations. Above all, she cherished time spent at the beach with her friends, soaking in the sunshine, laughter, and companionship that brought her so much happiness. She was also a faithful member of First Methodist Church in Vero Beach, where she found community and spiritual comfort.She is survived by her loving daughter, Kristi Vibbert of Medford Lakes, New Jersey; her sister, Sharon Robison of Greenville, Indiana; and her cherished grandchildren, Kendall Ryan and her fiancé, Zach, Jacob Vibbert, and Helena Vibbert.In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Kimberly Ryan.Sandra will be remembered for her warm spirit, her quiet strength, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
