IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sarah Nicole
Lovett
November 20, 1987 – January 11, 2026
Sarah Nicole Lovett of Vero Beach, Florida passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 38, after a valiant battle with cancer. Her light touched countless lives, and her absence leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Sarah was born in Michigan on November 20, 1987, the daughter of Deborah and Peter Lodwick.
She married the love of her life, Nick Lovett, on the beach in Florida on March 25, 2017. Sarah carried her Midwest roots with pride and made cherished friends everywhere she went.
A graduate of Central Michigan University, she turned her passion for education into a remarkable teaching career that impacted hundreds of young minds. Sarah spent eight years at Boca Raton Middle School as an honors accelerated science teacher in their Pre-Med program for 7th grade and later as an AVID Excel teacher for 6-8 grade ESOL students. She also served as a STEAMgineer program coordinator at Florida Atlantic University, before most recently teaching at Citrus Elementary in Vero Beach as a 5th grade teacher and K-5 STEM teacher. Sarah didn't just teach, she had a gift for making children feel seen and valued. She deeply cared for her students and poured her heart into helping them succeed in her classroom and in life.
In her free time, Sarah loved baking and cookie decorating, home projects, manicures, audiobook narrating, hurling brilliant sarcastic comebacks, finding the best music, and co-hosting "True Crime ABCs," a podcast with her best friend, Dani. She adored Michigan summers, the beach, swimming, Disney adventures, singing everything she was doing, being Auntie Sarah to her nephew Ethan and godsons Logan and Noah, and cuddling her beloved Australian Shepherds Tucker and Penny.
Sarah was truly a golden soul whose light was shown to all fortunate enough to know her. Her warmth, intelligence, creativity, and fierce love for those around her will continue to shine through the lives of those who know and love her, and have been forever changed by her.
Sarah is survived by her husband of nearly nine years, Nick Lovett; mother, Debbie Brophy; grandmother, Lorraine Harvey; brother, Chris (Rachel) Lodwick; nephew, Ethan Lodwick; godsons, Logan and Noah Sholly; and dear friends Natalie Giguere, Andrea Bedo, Andrea Flader, Jenna Sholly, Cora Burgess, and Dani Bysko, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Peter Lodwick; grandparents James (Nancy) Lodwick and George Brown; and beloved dogs Ringo and River.
Her loved ones would like to thank the medical staffs at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Christine E. Lynn Rehabilitation Center, University of Miami Health Tower, VNA Hospice House, and in addition, Offutt Barton Schlitt Thurn and Boyle.
Though Sarah's time with us was much too brief, her brilliance, passion, and love will live forever in the hearts of her students, colleagues, family, and friends. She will be deeply and infinitely missed.
