Shannon Lee Kelly, 12, of Vero Beach, FL died after a brief illness, of Childhood Diabetes, Friday, June 13, 2008 at St. Mary Hospital in West Palm Beach, FL.
Miss. Kelly was born October 6, 1995 in Vero Beach and was a lifelong resident.
She had just finished the sixth grade of home-schooling, and was a member of Christi's Fitness Center in Vero Beach. She was an passionate gymnast, artist, lover and care-giver to many animals, birds and lizards. She loved taking pictures and creating scrap books. She enjoyed doing gymnastics on the beach, and fishing in the river with her loving sister and dad. She also loved to bake, and help her mom cook.
Survivors include her parents Terry and Sandie Kelly of Vero Beach, sister Melissa of Vero Beach, brother Teke of Vero Beach, half-brother David Fiermonte of Nashville, TN, half-sister Christina Davis of Orlando, FL, maternal grandparents Gene and Ginny Golas of Cape Coral, FL, and paternal grandmother Ann Kelly of Vero Beach.
Services: A private memorial gathering was held by the family. There will also be a get together at McKee Botanical Gardens US Hwy 1, just South of 4th St and Indian River Blvd, Tuesday 6/17 at 2pm, for a "walk through the gardens in memory of Shannon" Followed by a get together at the Vero Beach Inn, 4700 N. A1A , at 4:30pm
