Shirley M. Coleman, 90, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital.

Born March 15, 1935, in East Orange, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Leo E. and Ruth Gertrude (Moeck) Rollins. Shirley earned her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and dedicated her career to serving others as a Registered Nurse with the Veterans Administration, working in New Mexico and later in Tucson, Arizona.

Following the passing of her beloved husband, Richard, in 1986, Shirley moved to Florida in 1998 to be closer to family. She made her home in Vero Beach, where she enjoyed playing bocce with friends and indulging her deep love for opera and local theater, which she supported as a passionate patron.

Shirley endured profound personal loss, with her son, Timothy, passing in 1998, and her brother, David Rollins, just one month ago.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen "Kathy" Coleman of Phoenix, Arizona; her brother, Robert Rollins, and his wife, Carole, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Mass celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
