Shirley Fischer's Obituary
Shirley R. Fischer, 79, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at her home in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Fischer was born August 13, 1928 in Syracuse, New York and moved to Vero Beach in 1990 from Pembroke Pines, FL.
Prior to her retirement she had worked for The Bank of Palm Beach & Trust Co. in West Palm Beach, FL as the private secretary to the president and the Marine division of the Suwannee Steamship Co. In Jacksonville, FL. She was a pilot and a life member of the Florida Aero Club as which she served as the Newsletter Editor.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years John B. Jack Fischer of Vero Beach; brother Leonard Roberts of Saratoga Springs, FL and numerous nieces and nephews in the West Palm Beach Area.
Services: The family will receive friends 4-7 PM, Friday, December 21, 2007 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A funeral service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
