Shirley Elizabeth "Liz" O'Dell Price Scott(78) passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2024. Shirley's untimely departure left her family deeply saddened.

Shirley was born November 14, 1945 to Gladys Johnson O'Dell and James Dawson O'Dell in Johnson City, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, Shirley's passing was preceded by her first husband Clarence William Price, siblings Joyce Ann O'Dell; James Douglas O'Dell and stepfather Norman Duvall.

Shirley's remaining family remember her bubbly demeanor and outgoing personality. They include husband William "Bill" Scott; Daughter Loretta Toni Price Osman and husband Hany-TN; son James Dawson Price and wife Missy-FL and son Andrew William Price-FL; stepdaughter Tammy Holman and husband Ronnie-MS; brother Dawson Wayne O'Dell and wife Diana-Jonesborough,TN as well as many cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Following divorce of her first husband and with a plucky persistence, Shirley successfully raised  three children while also putting herself through nursing school. Upon graduating as a RN, she became a travel nurse and finally settled in Vero Beach, FL where she worked at Indian River Memorial and neighboring hospitals. It is in Vero Beach where she met Bill, the love of her life and inseparable friend of thirty five years  Shirley was a pure inspiration for the lives that she touched and will be missed by many, may God bless her soul.

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family requests instead that a charitable contribution be made to the cause of one's choice.
