Shirley Horldt Venables, 79, of Ft. Pierce, passed away on March 1, 2018, following a long battle with cancer.

She was born in Waynesville, Missouri on February 28, 1939.

Ms. Horldt Venables enjoyed the past 28 years in Florida where she spent her retirement years with friends, family, and her beloved companion Russell Venables. He passed away in 1998. They enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, boating, and doing volunteer work with Indian River Youth Guidance. She was a cherished part of Crossroads United Church of Christ in Melbourne, FL.
She is survived by her sister and brother in law, Janet and Robert Minnick; daughter and daughter in law, Teresa Horldt and Emma Burnett; son and daughter in law, Mark and Michelle Horldt and her 4 grandchildren, Anna Horldt, Noelle Horldt, William Horldt, and Zachary Horldt.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018, at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with Pastor Frank Lamson officiating. The family will welcome guests at 6 PM and service will begin at 7 PM.
