Skylar Reid Davis
Born July 21, 1994 in Columbus, Ohio
Passed June 8, 2023 In Philadelphia
Survived by mother, Kerrie Walton and father, Timothy Davis, brother Noll Davis, Stepfather Alan Walton, Grandparents Shirley Bourdow, Gene Jacobs and Donnal Davis, daughter Ahri Grace, aunts Michelle Bourdow, Kim Meegan, and Kimm Davis, uncles Stephen Bourdow, Rick Davis and Donny Davis. He is preceded in death by Grandpa Dow, Grandma Nancy and Cousin Gracie.
Skylar Reid Davis (although his middle name should be listed as "Adventure") could shine up the room like the son of a sun. His vivacious thirst for experiencing life FOR the experience itself was infectious as his laugh. Known for being a voracious reader, eloquent writer and gifted musician in this age is as remarkable as he, himself.
Skylar always had his finger on the pulse of music and across all ages of literature as if devouring it all. He held great faith in himself, his family and his God. He loved intentionally and with every fiber of his marrow.
Skylar was a lover of the natural world and animals from his first day. He traveled his great nation and met many quality humans along his journey. He sought out the unknown and could show you new things in your own neighborhood! His shining soul will be missed beyond comprehension yet remains with us all as his energy endures.
"I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on the snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken, in the morning's hush of quiet birds circled in the light. I am the soft star that shines at might."
"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God." John 4:07
"He bowed low, down to the ground, bowed to the motionless sitter, whose smile reminded him of everything that he ever loved in his life, that had every been valuable and holy to him in his life."
