Stanley W. Kahn, 85, of Vero Beach, FL died Sunday, April 27, 2008 at the Indian River Medical Center.
Mr. Kahn was born August 6, 1922 in New York City, NY and moved to Vero Beach in 1984 from Pompano Beach, FL.
He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach and was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Navy. Mr. Kahn had owned the Vero Beach Campground and Marilous Quilting and Sewing Center in Wabasso, FL. He was a member of the Orchid Club, Elks Lodge #1774, Moose Lodge, American Legion Post 39, Polish American Club, Italian American Club and the Antique Car Club, of which he had served as president for three years and vice-president for two years.
Survivors include his daughters Marilou Keen of Vero Beach and Rosemarie Lavoie of Deerfield Beach, FL, sons James Kahn and Michael Kahn of Sebastian, FL; and fifteen grandchildren.
Mr. Kahn was predeceased by his wife of 58 years Shirley and a son William.
Services: The family will receive friends at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach 6 - 8 PM Thursday, May 1, 2008 and 2 - 4 PM and 5 - 8 PM Friday, May 2, 2008 with an Elks service at 7:00 PM. A Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, May 3, 2008 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach followed by interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens with military honors by VFW Post 3918 of Vero Beach.
