McGurk, Stanley Earle, of North Hatley, QC and Vero Beach, FL, formally of Montreal, QC, died November 5, 2013 after a brief illness, attended by his loving wife of sixty years, Ruth (Rice).
He is survived by his children, Michael of Vancouver, BC, Stephen of Ottawa, ON, Catherine of Ridgewood, NJ, John of Madoc, ON, and Robert of Mississauga, ON as well as son and daughter-in-laws, Ron Kong, Susan Champagne, Heather Smith, and Heather Roberts. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Kate, Conor, Jacob, Emily, Alexander, Allison, Tyler and Ella, along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Stanley was a graduate of McGill University's Engineering Department, and was well known in the global Pulp and Paper Industry over a lengthy career of forty-seven years. His design prowess was noted in creative projects at his homes, his inventions, and later in life with his painting.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held in the summer of 2014 in North Hatley.
