Stella Ann Griffin, 91, of Vero Beach, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House. Mrs. Griffin was born August 9, 1921 in Jamesport, Long Island, NY. She had been a resident of Vero Beach for twenty-eight years, coming from Long Island. Prior to her retirement she worked for Hills Grocery as a butcherette for seventeen years. She was of the Catholic faith, and attended Saint Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Survivors include her sons, Eulis John (Libby) Griffin Jr. of Vero Beach, Mark Edward (Janet) Griffin of Riverhead, LI, David Linwood (Sue) Griffin of Sebastian; sister, Evelyn Painter of North Carolina; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Eulis John Griffin Sr.; sisters, Millie Pugh and Mary Sammis; brothers, Stanley Zdanowicz and Joe Zdanowicz. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Saint Helen Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
