Stella A. Kinghorn (nee Stefania Anastasia Franek) 91, died February 6, 2015 at Grace Rehabilitation Center in Vero Beach, Florida with her family at her side. She was born October 19, 1923 in Dudley, MA daughter of the late Valentin and Carolina Franek. She united in marriage to Clifford R. Kinghorn, Sr. September 4, 1944. He preceded her in death May 16, 2003 after 59 years of marriage.
Stella was a loving and caring person who always put her family and friends first. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. John of the Cross. She was an active member of the Ladies Guild. Stella spent many hours as a volunteer at Our Father's Table Soup Kitchen and was an excellent craftsperson who loved to sew, quilt, crochet and knit.
Stella is survived by two daughters and one son; Carolyn and husband Edward Richardson of Vero Beach, Pamela and husband David Whiting of Townsend, MA and Joseph Kinghorn and wife Deborah of Westford, MA, three sisters-in-law; Dorothy Franek of Ft. Myers, FL, Lily Kinghorn of Lowell, MA and Shirley and husband Kenneth Skinner of Bedford, MA. Stella is also survived by 8 grand-children and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grand-child and one great-grandchild. Several nieces and nephews and many other wonderful friends also survive.
A private Memorial Service will be held in Merrimack, NH at a later date.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Our Father's Soup Kitchen at 4221 28th Avenue in Vero Beach, FL., 32967.
