Stephen Russell Powell, Jr., 75, of Vero Beach, FL passed away Sunday, June 19, 2011 at home in Vero Beach, FL.
Russ was born August 16, 1935, in Sewell, NJ. He served in the US Army and was a graduate of Rutgers University. He was one of the founding partners of Lambda Technologies Inc., and TRECOM Business Systems in NY & NJ. He was a resident of Maplewood, NJ, before retiring to Vero Beach, FL 15 years ago. He was a member of Morrow Memorial Methodist Church in Maplewood, NJ and also a past member of the Rock Spring Country Club and The Little Club in Maplewood, NJ.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Judith Powell of Vero Beach, FL; sons, Stephen Russell Powell, III (Ron McClelland) of Boston, MA; Gregory William Powell of New York, NY, and Scott Andrew Powell (Nancy Kilarjian) of Richmond, VA; granddaughters, Grace Katherine Powell and Caroline Elizabeth Powell both of Richmond, VA.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Morrow Memorial Methodist Church in Maplewood, NJ.
