Stephen F. Zyrkowski, 71, of Vero Beach, passed away on Saturday, July 30 with his family at his side.
He was born to the late Joseph and Helen Zyrkowski on December 28, 1944 in Meriden, Connecticut. Steve graduated from St. John Kanty Prep in Erie, Pennsylvania and received his BA in History from St. Bonaventure University, Olean, NY in 1967. He married Jeanne Gauthier in 1973, and they lived together in Mahopac, NY, before retiring to Vero Beach in 2006.

Steve was a Manufacturer's Representative for R.J.Reynolds. His favorite activities included golfing, fishing, coaching his children's sports teams and volunteering for community events.

Steve is survived by his daughter Kristin von Kleeck of Nyack, NY, his son Eric of Abingdon, Maryland, son-in-law David von Kleeck, daughter-in-law Sarah Zyrkowski. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Jake and Ava von Kleeck and Hudson Zyrkowski.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 from 4:00-6:00 PM at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home with a Prayer Service to be held at 5:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at St. Helen Catholic Church, with burial immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to VNA Hospice of Indian River County or Moffitt Cancer Center of Tampa, Florida.
