Sue Ann Fenimore, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 85.

Sue Ann was born January 12, 1941, in Alexandria, Virginia, to Alec and Mary Ray. She graduated from Groveton High School. Her banking career began at Burke & Herbert Bank, where she met and later married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Fenimore, on April 1, 1971.

In 1976, Sue Ann and Bob moved to Florida, where she continued her banking career and retired as Vice President of Wachovia Bank in 2004.

Sue Ann and Bob shared a love of travel and spent many wonderful years exploring the world. They enjoyed countless adventures together from as far as the North Pole to Antarctica. There wasn’t a trip she wouldn’t book! Sue Ann loved to read and was a member of the book club. She also enjoyed walking Franklin, decorating for the holidays and hosting family dinners. Family was a priority.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; her beloved dog, Franklin; daughters Suzanne Martinez (Willie) and Kara Kerr (Greg); grandchildren Justin Akerley (Stephanie), Tyler Akerley, and Kaitlyn Kerr; and great-grandchildren Alexandria and Easton Akerley.

Sue Ann will be remembered for her loving heart, adventurous spirit, devotion to her family, her smile, kindness and the many beautiful memories she leaves behind. Her greatest legacy will be the love she shared with her family and the lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. at Riverside Park in Vero Beach at the Large Pavilion. Please join our family to celebrate Sue Ann’s life and share fun memories. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
