Susan Bishop went to heaven on Friday, May 23, 2025.  A graduate of Boston's Northeastern University, she lived in that city for 30 years prior to relocating to Vero in 1991.  She was a long-time friend of Bill W (48 years).

She retired from the School District in 2009.  She cared deeply about her students (at Oslo Middle and later GED) and was proudest of instilling in them, she hoped, an appreciation for poetry.  In her retirement, she volunteered at times for Youth Guidance, the Friends of the Library Used Book Depot, and The Salvation Army as a bell ringer at Christmas.

If you were her friend, she loved you dearly; if you weren't, she didn't give a rip.  She deeply loved her various pets through the years as well.  And, last but not least, she loved Starbucks, enjoying many wonderful conversations with interesting folk therein.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and she hoped a donation would be made to HALO (710 Jackson St., Sebastian, FL  32958) or Dogs and Cats Forever (4600 Selvitz Rd., Ft. Pierce, FL  34981) in her memory.  Or, if you do not choose to give, raise a cup of java in her honor.
