IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Susan Ruth
Bresnahan
June 9, 1948 – November 2, 2025
Susan (Sue) Ruth Bresnahan, 77, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Susan was born on June 9, 1948, in Beverly, Massachusetts, to the late Thelma (Fosberg) and John Lang. She grew up in Danvers, Massachusetts, and later attended the Beverly Hospital School of Nursing and Saint Joseph's College of Maine. She worked as a dedicated registered nurse in several settings, including the Beverly School for the Deaf.
Susan was first married to Robert Daniel Hutchinson, with whom she shared many years of marriage and two children, Robert and Beth. After her husband's passing, she later married Timothy Bresnahan, and together they made their home in Danvers, Massachusetts, where they shared many happy years. Sue and Tim were active members of the Beverly-Peabody Elks Lodge, and Sue was proud to be the second woman to achieve the distinguished rank of Exalted Ruler. They later retired to Vero Beach, Florida, where they enjoyed taking cruises and road trips to explore Florida's many beautiful beaches.
Sue will be remembered for her love of gardening, knitting, and reading mystery novels, as well as for her loyalty to the New England Patriots and her affection for the Miami Dolphins. She especially loved spending time with her beloved grandchildren and cherished many trips to the Disney area with them.
In addition to her parents and first husband, Sue was predeceased by her sister, Judith Mills, and her stepdaughter, Jennifer Bresnahan. She is survived by her husband, Timothy Bresnahan; her brother, John Lang, and his wife, Carol Lang; her children, Robert and his wife, Diane Hutchinson, and Beth and her husband, Frank Rossi; her stepchildren, Lauren and her husband, Todd Delano, and David and his wife, Carrie Bresnahan; many cherished sisters- and brothers-in-law; and her beloved grandchildren, Anna, Owen, Molly, Frank, Chrissy, Bryan, Colby, and Whisper, who brought her endless joy.
