Susan Hall Smith, 71, of Vero Beach, Florida died on December 31, 2017.

She was born in Miami, Florida, November 26,1946.  She was the only child of Jesse Hall and Dorothy Metts Hall.  She moved to Vero Beach when she was 3 and graduated from Vero Beach High School in 1964.  She married Larry Smith in December 1964 and they were married for 53 years.

Susan was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed traveling with her family and spending time with her grandchildren.  Susan loved to cruise and travel with her friends.  She and Larry had a home in Sugarloaf Key for many years and there she loved to boat, fish and dive.  She never missed an event that included her grandchildren, attending every play, band event and school function.  Susan volunteered for over 10 years with the Guardian Ad Litem program helping many children separated from their families.

Susan is survived by her husband, Larry; her daughters, Stephanie Stawara (David) and Shannon Smith and her grandchildren, Lilla Stawara, StellaRose Stawara and Collin Gonzalez.

A Funeral Mass will be held on January 12th at 2:00 at St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCan.org).
