Susan Joan Popadak
July 16, 1950 – May 31, 2025

Susan Joan Popadak, 74, of Vero Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in Fort Pierce.

Born in Warren, Ohio, Sue was the daughter of John M. and Lois J. (Lewis) Popadak. She graduated from Champion High School in 1968 and spent over 35 years serving her community through the family-owned Action Ambulance.

After relocating to Vero Beach, Sue became an active member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church and the Village Green community. She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her commitment to family and faith, and her love for helping others.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved son, Steven Brent Popadak (1987–2020); and her brother, Jack Popadak.

She is survived by her sister, Donna (Douglas) Daugherty of Mount Gilead, Ohio; her brother, Michael (Kathleen) Popadak of Bazetta, Ohio; her sister-in-law, Lori Popadak of Freeport, Ohio; and her special cousin, Gloria Conine of New York. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

As a registered organ donor, Sue gave the gift of sight through the donation of her corneas to Beauty of Sight, a Lions Eye Bank at the University of Miami.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. No services are planned at this time. A future inurnment will take place at Meadow Brook Memorial Park in Champion, Ohio.
