Susan Ann Teel, 62, of Vero Beach, died Wednesday, July 26 in her home.

She was born to the late Tom and Vivian Sokolich on March 23, 1955 in St. Louis, MO. She married Dudley Teel in 1977 in St. Louis, where they resided until they relocated to Vero Beach, FL in 1984.

Susan was an avid golfer, a volunteer for the Atlantic Classical Orchestra and a Sunday school teacher at Trinity Episcopal Church. She put countless hours into being a homeroom mother, providing meals for sports teams, and volunteering hours within the community, whether it be a soup kitchen, an animal shelter or a school. From formal organizations to family friends, Susan opened her home and her heart to everyone.

Susan is survived by her husband, Dudley Teel; her children, Sara (Rick) Gordon; James Teel; Emily (Chuck) Riegger; and Connor Teel, and her grandchildren, Isobel Gordon; Emma Teel; and Madison Riegger.
