Obituary for Suzanne Marie Trask

Suzanne Marie Trask, a beloved wife, mother, nonni, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on January 5, 2025, in Vero Beach, FL. She was 74 years old. Born on August 2, 1950, in Jamestown, NY, to the late Louis Lavern and Rose (Mole) Bogardus, Suzanne spent her formative years in Jamestown before relocating to Vero Beach in 1995.

As a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Suzanne's faith was an important part of her life. Suzanne was a woman whose love for her family knew no bounds. She embraced her children's friends as her own, always welcoming them with open arms and treating them like family. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and love, where she created lasting memories with those she cared about.

Suzanne's talents were many, and she poured her heart into everything she did. She was an great cook, known for preparing delicious meals that brought people together. Her creativity shone through her crochet work, painting, and other crafts, each piece reflecting her artistic spirit and attention to detail. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from spending time on Facebook to playing computer games, where she enjoyed staying connected with friends and family, near and far.

She is survived by her loving husband, David Trask, of both Vero Beach, FL, and Sinclaireville, NY; her children, Amy Trask of Vero Beach, and David Trask (Genelle) of Vero Beach; her stepchildren, Jesten Trask (Maggie) of Sinclaireville, NY, and Beau Trask (Megan) of Russell, PA; her loving siblings, Mary Gore (Dave) of Vero Beach, Tim Bogardus (Caroline) of Crossville, TN, and Tom Bogardus (Dana) of Rome, GA; her adored grandchildren, Journey, Chance, Logan, Adaline, Noah, and Ella; as well as several nieces and nephews who were dear to her.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her beloved son, Timothy Trask; her sister, Rosalia Bogardus; and two nephews, Mark A. King, Jr. and Steven Anderson.

A visitation to celebrate Suzanne's life will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM at the funeral home, followed by a burial service at Crestlawn Cemetery.

Suzanne's memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family will never be forgotten, and she will be dearly missed by all who were touched by her life.
