Sylvia Patnik Johnson , 93, of Vero Beach, FL died Friday, October 17, 2008 at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
Mrs. Johnson was born May 9, 1915 in New York, NY and moved to Vero Beach, FL in 2006 from New Rochelle, NY.
She had worked for the Social Security Administration in Albuquerque, NM prior to her retirement. She was of the Jewish faith.
Sylvia will always be remembered as the The Wind Beneath My Wings.
Survivors include her son Michael Patnik of Vero Beach, FL; daughter Carla Axelrod of Boca Raton, FL; sister Malvina Leiner of San Francisco, CA; brother Jack Seidner of State College, PA; and a grandson.
Services: A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2008 at 12:30pm at Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.
