Teresa Terri Diane Hegwood, 62, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Treasure Coast Hospice in Fort Pierce.
Ms. Hegwood was born September 11, 1946 in Vero Beach and was a lifelong resident.
She had worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for Attorney Cal Brown, Ocean Spray, Sebastian River Medical Center, Sun Aviation, and Ameri-Gas. She also helped open Burdines and TJ Maxx in Vero Beach. In her free time she enjoyed arts and crafts, thrift shopping, walking and the beach.
Survivors include her sister Linda Young of Vero Beach; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Clara and Walton Hegwood, sister Julia (Boyce) Dawkins, and nephews Billy Young and Tommy Mitchum.
Service: A Celebration Gathering will take place 2-4 PM, Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach for family and friends.
