Obituary

Thaddeus J. Kapalka Jr, 80, of Sebastian, FL passed away August 13, 2019, with his two daughters by his side.

Ted was born to the late Thaddeus and Helen Kapalka on January 30, 1939, in Philadelphia, PA.  His family moved to Mt, Holly, NJ where he graduated from Rancocas Valley High School and joined the Air Force.  After his enlistment, Ted was a Bond bread man and then joined 3M Company as a service representative.  He spent 33 years with Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing, 3M, before his retirement.  His job enabled him to live from coast to coast for his entire career.  He was an avid fisherman.  His happiest days were on a boat whether it be at sea or the fresh waters of Canada.  He adored his cat "Tex" who was his best buddy for the last 14 years.

Ted is survived by his brother John (Mary) Kapalka of Virginia and a sister MaryAnn Schwartz of Colorado.  Ted is also survived by his daughters Michele Nippins of Cinnaminson, NJ, and Maureen (Kyle) Orvik of Lino Lakes, MN.  He had five grandchildren:  Kelli, Shannon, Chelsea, Kayla and Michael.  He also had 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

A private family service will be held in September in New Jersey.
