Obituary

Thelma ("Thadie") Grabbs Walker, 90, passed away on March 15, 2012 at Harbor Chase of Vero Beach, Florida.

She was born and raised in Danville, Illinois, and lived in Nashville, Tennessee and more recently, Bayford, Virginia, before moving to Florida.

She was a member of Hungars Parish Episcopal Church in Bridgetown, Virginia.

For many years she had a successful real estate career in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon retirement she enjoyed needlepoint and golf, and was a member of the Eastern Shore Chapter of the Garden Club of Virginia. She established an award-winning garden in Bayford, Virginia.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Harry Mapp Walker. In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Sally Lynch (Francis) of Boston, MA, William Walker (Maureen) of Vero Beach, FL, and Stephen Walker of Benicia, CA. She is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
