Obituary

Theodore Gene Guy – January 9, 1960

Theodore was born and raised in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.  He later moved to Hanover, Maryland where he resided for 22 years and he and his wife are also residents of Vero Beach, Florida.

He is survived in life by his best friend and wife, Wendy Guy and his mother-in Law Juanita Barnhart of Vero Beach, Florida; his son Joshua Guy, his daughter Ashley Guy both from Massachusetts and two loving grandchildren – Adeleheid Guy and Caleb Guy from New Hampshire; a future grandchild whom will never have the honor of meeting their grandfather; Sisters – Cynthia Guy-Allen; Brenda and her husband Geoffrey Harris; Marsha Pepper; Brothers – Charles Guy and his partner Carole Lyman; Frances Guy and his wife Francine and so many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  Theodore was preceded in death by his Sisters – Sandra Peabody and Sheila Jackson.

Theodore served 23 years in the Navy Seabee Reserves with two tours in Iraq and retired in 2010.  He served 33 years with the Department of Defense both at Fort Devens, MA and Fort Meade, MD.  He retired in 2014.

He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 160 in Glen Burnie, Maryland and of the Veteran's Club in Vero Beach, Florida.

His passion was stained glass, drawing, painting and making art out of items he had found.  He had a wonderful sense of humor and somehow managed to find humor in everything.  He was a giver and wanted to share what he had with others less fortunate than him and did so every opportunity he had.

This man touched so many people in his 58 years.  He will be missed on earth and heaven is so fortunate to have gained another angel and warrior to watch over those of us left behind.

Friends and Relatives will be notified of the memorial services planned in the future in Florida, Maryland and Massachusetts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to woundedwarriorproject.org/Donate, something very close to Teddy's heart.
