Theresa Mary Slattery (Cummings), 87 of Vero Beach, passed away on December 22, 2018. She was born in New York City on April 28, 1931 to Michael and Mary Cummings. A graduate of Corpus Christi Elementary School and Blessed Sacrament Academy in NY, she earned numerous medals at feis Irish dance competitions while growing up in that area.

Theresa worked at Manufacturer's Hanover Trust Company (now Chase Bank) and St. John's Hospital. She married William Joseph Slattery on June 5, 1954 in Corpus Christi Church in NY.

She was an avid golfer, and traveled extensively with her husband and friends, was a member of Vero Beach Women's Club, Vista Plantation Golf Club and a social member at Point West Country Club.

Theresa was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Slattery, a sister, Kathleen Cummings and a brother, Michael (Joe) Cummings. Survivors include her son, William "Bill" (Diane) J. Slattery III of Keystone Heights, FL, and daughter, Theresa "Terry" M. Slattery Golden of Plano, TX; step-grandchildren, Gregory Jasmin and Corey (Jennifer) Jasmin; She is also survived by her sister Marguerite (Peggy) McPartland (Mr. & Mrs. Matt McPartland)

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church. Interment will take place at a later date at Cape Canaveral National.
