Thomas James Baker , 78, of Vero Beach, FL died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Florida Hospital in Orlando.
Mr. Baker was born in Nyack, NY and has lived in Vero Beach for 20 years coming from Miramar, FL.
Mr. Baker attended St. Helens Catholic Church in Vero Beach. He was awarded the title of Grand Mariner from Holland America.
He retired from the Miami Herald Newspaper after a 35 year career in the Advertising Composition department.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Patricia; son, Thomas Baker Jr. and wife, Debra of Plano, TX; daughter, Diana Moore of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Baker is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Pearl Baker.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home at 11:00AM.
