Tom Gamble died on February 9, 2018 in Vero Beach, FL.  Tom was born to Lota Belle Davis Gamble and George H. Gamble on October 13, 1921 in Headland, Alabama.  He is survived by his wife Trudy Gamble, three daughters, Susan Weaver Jones (Chuck), Jennifer Gamble (James Nicolls) and Allison Gamble (Mike Smith); four grandsons, Thomas G. Gee, Andrew D. Conner, Justin M. Weaver (Jessica), and Kevin D. Conner; granddaughter, Katelyn E. Gee; great-granddaughter, Robin C. Gee; and sister, Betty Mitchell (Bud).  He is predeceased by one daughter, Kathy Gamble; his parents; and five sisters, Inez Shirley, Marjorie Owens, Floryne Hobbs, Nell Knowles, and Grace Sanders.

Tom served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.  He started his career in Citrus sales in Orlando, FL and continued in Ft. Pierce, FL and Vero Beach, FL.  He enjoyed his work and the people he worked with.  Tom and Trudy Whitty were married on October 25, 1953.  He was an avid golfer and played regularly each week for many years.  He became a member of Asbury United Methodist Church soon after moving to Vero Beach in 1984.  He was an active member for many years.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, February 17 at Asbury United Methodist Church.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am and the service at 11:00 am.  Everyone is invited to a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall following the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Asbury United Methodist Church, 1708 43 ^rd Ave., Vero Beach, FL 32960

Tom loved and was loved by his family!  His family were his wife, children, grandchildren, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews.  He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors.
