LCpl. Thomas R. Lindgren, 27, of Vero Beach passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 after a motorcycle accident in Fort Pierce, FL.

LCpl. Lindgren was born March 14, 1986 in Vero Beach, and had been a lifetime resident.

He was a graduate of Vero Beach High School in 2004. Thomas was a graduate of the Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy of Tallahassee Community College, and was currently enrolled with the Cambridge Allied Health Institute in Delray Beach to obtain a degree in nursing.

He served in the United States Marine Corps in the 0351 Infantry Division. He completed two overseas deployments in Iraq and one deployment to the Republic of Georgia.

Thomas attended First Covenant Church.

He was a member of the Indian River Sport Bike Club.

Survivors include his parents, Marc and Jacqueline Lindgren of Vero Beach; sister, Christina "Cricket" Lindgren of Vero Beach; brother, Andrew Lindgren of Vero Beach; sister, Brooke Lindgren of Vero Beach; paternal grandmother, Elsie Lindgren of Vero Beach; maternal grandmother, Cindy Stickell of Virginia; aunts, Susan (Bob) Barker of Vero Beach; Terry (JJ) Jennings of Texas; Linda (Kris) Hewitt of Tennessee; uncle, Bernie (Dawn) Stickell of Vero Beach; nephew, Logan Lindgren of Vero Beach.

Services: A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory in Vero Beach. A memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 21, 2013 at the First Covenant Church, 1955 20th Ave Vero Beach, FL 32960 with military honors. Burial will be held on Monday, June 24. 2013 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
