Thomas Martin McBride, 57, of Vero Beach, FL died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at his home.
Mr. McBride was born September 6, 1952 in Miami, FL and moved to Vero Beach in 1992 from Coral Gables, FL.
He attended the University of Denver where he was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity and received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Miami. Mr. McBride retired from the Coral Gables Fire Department as a Lieutenant where he had been a Paramedic and Firefighter. He was a director of the Fort Myers Broadcasting Company for 23 years and was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years Linda J. McBride of Vero Beach; son Michael J. McBride of Vero Beach; mother Marilyn Williams of Vero Beach; and two brothers Gerald "Gerry" McBride and Edward McBride both of Ft. Myers, FL. He is also survived by his aunt and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward J. McBride, sister, Patricia McBride and his son, John T. McBride.
Services: The family will receive friends 5-7 pm, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a prayer service at 6 PM. A Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon, Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
