Obituary

Tom Radzevich, 70, of Vero Beach, Florida died Sunday May 8, 2016 at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach after a two-year battle with ALS. He was born November 23, 1945 in New Britain,CT son of the late Thomas J. and Pauline (Mlynarski) Radzevich. Tom grew up in Avon, CT and graduated from Avon High School, class of 1964. He was very proud of his service in the US Navy serving aboard the USS Laffey in the Mediterranean in the late 60's. Tom lived in Vermont for 15 years and enjoyed working at Maple Valley, Smuggler's Notch, Sugarbush and Stratton Mountain Ski resorts. About 15 years ago, he moved to Vero Beach and had good memories working at Quail Valley Golf Club for many years. Tom enjoyed golfing and was an avid fan of watching the matches from his home. Tom was a gentle soul who never had a bad word to say about anyone. He is predeceased by his sister, Bette Landis of Avon, CT. Tom is survived by his sisters, Dr. Elaine R. Morisano of Canton, CT and Kathryn Emmons and her husband Ray of Vero Beach and Seneca, South Carolina. He is also survived by his nieces, Elaine Krehmeyer and her husband Kevin of Johns Creek, Georgia, Dr. Dominique Morisano of Toronto, Quebec and Kyra Landis of Bristol, CT and his nephews Craig Emmons and his wife Lisa of Portland, Oregon, Alex Morisano and his wife Wendy of Canton, CT and Jeffrey Morisano and his wife Francesca of Los Angeles, CA. Services will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association.
