Timothy J. Dare, Sr., 64, of Vero Beach, FL died Thursday, May 6, 2010 at the Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
Mr. Dare was born December 26, 1945 in Billingsville, IN and moved to Vero Beach 47 years ago from his place of birth.
He had worked for Communications International for 35 years. He served as a Police Officer with the Sebastian Police Department and Indian River County Sheriffs Department for 10 years. Mr. Dare was a member of the Lions Club in Vero Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Susan L. Dare of Vero Beach, FL; son Timothy J. Dare, Jr of Savannah, GA; daughters Vonnie Sue Dare and Jennifer Lynn both of Vero Beach; brothers Jack Dare of Sarasota, FL and Jerry Dare of Indiana; sister Drenda Dare of Indiana; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services: The family will receive friends 4-7 PM, Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. A life celebration will be held 10 AM, Monday, May 10, 2010 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home followed by interment at Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach.
