Vaddere Martin Stinson, 80, of Wabasso, FL died Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at Consulate Health Care in Vero Beach.

Mrs. Stinson was born March 10, 1931 in Vernon, FL. She was a lifetime resident of Wabasso.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a registered nurse at the Indian River Medical Hospital.

She was a lifetime member of the Allen Chapel AME church in Wabasso, and was a member of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Stinson is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Luther G. Stinson; daughter, Audrey D. Jacobs; parents, Adimas Martin & Jessie Washington; brothers, Benjamin Martin and James Washington; sister, Mattie Martin.

Survivors include her sons; Robert L. Stinson of Coconut Creek, Luther G. Stinson Jr of Cocoa Beach, Kenneth T. Stinson of Palm Bay, Kerry L. Stinson of Wabasso; daughters, Ellen J. Stinson of Melbourne, Teresa Dawkins of Vero Beach, and Sheila J. Smith of Vero Beach; sister, Willie Mae Green of Vero Beach; 27 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 12-1:30 PM at the Allen Chapel AME church in Wabasso on Wednesday, October 26, 2011. A funeral service will begin at 2:00PM. Following the service interment will be at Wabasso Cemetery.
