Vera D'Addario Bibbings, a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on May 2, 2026, in Vero Beach, Florida, at the age of 96. Born on December 27, 1929, in Paterson, New Jersey, Vera lived a life defined by family, faith, and a love of animals.

She and her husband, Robert ("Bob") Bibbings, grew up in Paterson and later made their home in Wyckoff, New Jersey, where they raised their children, Ellen and Robert ("Rob"). Vera worked in the office of a local dairy while dedicating herself to creating a warm and welcoming home for her family.

In 1982, Vera and Bob retired to Marietta, Georgia, where they became active members of St. Catherine's Episcopal Church. Vera was especially involved in fundraising efforts and the numerous ministries of the church. That work reflected her quiet generosity and commitment to helping others.

Together, Vera and Bob shared a love of travel, exploring much of the United States and finding particular joy in its national parks and forests.

Vera is survived by her daughter, Ellen Montero and her husband, William, of Vero Beach, Florida; her daughter-in-law, Katherine Bibbings of Taylorsville, Georgia; her grandchildren, Michael Montero and his wife, Alexandra, of Cary, North Carolina, and Amy Emory and her husband, Kyle, of Vero Beach, Florida; and her five great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ava, Olivia, Jack, and Levi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and her son, Robert.

Memorial Service/Celebration of Life for Vera will be held on September 11, 2026 at 2:00 pm. The location is: St. David's Episcopal Church 205 Old Main Street South Yarmouth, MA 02664. The service will be held in their Memorial Garden.

Refreshments will be served at the church in the March Room at the conclusion of the service.
