In the early morning of October 11, 2016 our beloved mother, Vera Marie Cecilia Burak Letter, passed peacefully to heaven.

A devoted mother, loving grandmother and great-grandmother, she generously dedicated her life to her family. Born in West Berlin, New Jersey in 1927, she attended Philadelphia School for Girls and later married Ambrose Letter of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The family ventured to South Florida in 1964 where she worked and cared for her family in Broward County for over forty years.

Vera retired from a career with the U.S. Postal Service, during which time she was featured in Ripley's *Believe It or Not* for her unusual surname and occupation. She was an avid reader; she loved to travel, visiting Europe many times, and often cruising to the Caribbean and Mexico. She spent her last years in Vero Beach with the sunshine and ocean breezes she loved so much.

She is survived by seven of her eight children, 10 grandchildren, and 10 of her 11 great-grandchildren; she is also survived by two brothers and a sister.

Mom Mom, we will think of you lovingly each day until we are all united again for eternity.
