Veronica Faith Wilden, 69, of Vero Beach, with her family at her side, departed this world on July 24th to spend eternity in the arms of the Lord.
The only daughter of the late Johnny Pellegrin and Noelie Adams Pellegrin, Veronica was born November 25, 1946 in Lockport, Louisiana. She graduated from Holy Savior Catholic High School in 1964. She moved to Lake Wales, Florida in 1984 with her two beloved daughters, and later to Vero Beach. It was there she met her husband Arthur, with whom she recently celebrated 22 years of marriage.
While Veronica had tremendous organizational skills and worked in various positions throughout her adult life, her true calling was to her family. She delighted in the role of homemaker, wife and mother, and handled all three with consummate skill. Her love for the Lord guided her every thought and action over a lifetime filled with gentle kindness.
Veronica is survived by her husband Arthur, her daughters Nina Gilcrease and Verona (Mike) Fundrella of Orlando, her brothers Guy Pellegrin of Metairie, Louisiana, Johnny "J.L." Pellegrin of Pass Christian, Mississippi and Ted Pellegrin of Raceland, Louisiana.
A memorial service for family and friends to honor Veronica's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 13th, at Freedom Church, 455 58th Ave SW, Vero Beach 32968, after which her ashes will be interred at the columbarium at Crestlawn Cemetery.
