Virginia S. Beaumont, a former long-term Vero Beach resident passed away February 17, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL.

Born in Nantucket, Massachusetts, she moved to Vero Beach with her husband James F. Beaumont upon his retirement from the US Coast Guard. They were married 30 years until his death in 1965.

Mrs. Beaumont was a founding member of The Retired Officer's Wives Club, a member of Eastern Star where she held several offices, and one of the founders of The Visiting Nurses Association of Vero Beach. She worked in the Health Department and as a Home Health Aide for many years.

She is survived by her brother, Paul W. Sanborn (Mildred); two daughters, Elaine Holton (Bill) and Kay Murray (Mike); a son, James Beaumont (Susan), six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 20th at 11:30 at Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home. Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetary upon cremation. An online guestbook may be signed at www.coxgiffordseawinds.com.
