Obituary

Virginia was born to Rose & John Romano in Brooklyn NY in 1932.  Virginia was married happily to Vincent Beneduce for 48 years, had 6 children, 10 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband and 2 eldest sons, Eugene and John.  Virginia spent most of her adult life as a mother, homemaker and a volunteer for the Council of Catholic Women in Dade & Broward counties, but she also found time to become a Medical Assistant, a Poet, an unpublished author of children's books, a choir member and an assistant  to Vincent with the social events and book keeping during their ownership of The Tides Hotel in Miami Beach.

She held positions throughout the Council of Catholic Women organization from 1967 – 2012 such as MACCW President, East Dade Deanery President as well as many others.  She was a major influence supporting and working at the HIV/Aids Shelter in Coral Gables, Chastity Day for girls in Catholic Schools, Catholic Scholarships for girls wishing to attend Catholic Schools, and many others.  Virginia was a true volunteer and champion of the Council of Catholic Women organization.

Virginia was an active person full of life with plenty of love and laughter.  She usually did more in a day before lunch than the rest of us did all day.  Up early and to church to help with the coffee and donuts, there for meetings on how to help the community and the next bake sale or charity event and she was there for her family as well.  She was there for all the events throughout the family and always trying to get any family squabbles to resolution.

Virginia moved to Vero Beach in 2014 to be closer to her children and it was a blessing for her & them.  She got to see her children and grandchildren more often and was able to join The Silver Tones singing group through the Senior Resource Center and she loved it.

Vincent and Virginia lived a life full of travel, love and some tragedy as well, but they handled it with grace, compassion and God at their side. She  will surely be missed by many.
