Virginia "Ginny" Hilland Bishop 87, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of December 10, 2016,surrounded by loving family members at Willowbrooke Court, Indian River Estates in Vero Beach. Born October 25, 1929 in Washington DC. Her parents were Dorothy Sheiry and Arthur Jonathan Hilland. Virginia married Randolph Barzen Bishop on October15, 1949. They had two children. Randy passed away October 19, 1994, just after celebrating their 45th Anniversary.

Ginny was active always in many civic and philanthropic organizations.

Ginny graduated in 1949 from Stephens College with a major in Fashion Design, with flair!!! Throughout the years Ginny designed many of her own clothes and those of her children's. Her design talents filtered into her everything she did. She designed her home interior, her jewelry and other artwork. Ginny also loved entertaining her friends and loved to cook. She created many happy memories through entertaining for all who knew her. She was charming, enthusiastic, and definitely had a very independent spirit. Her family and friends will truly miss her.

Known as' GG by her eight great grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and they loved her. GG enjoyed reading, playing games, and holding her baby greats' whenever she could. And, she never missed being with them during the holidays.

She is survived by her two children, Valerie Bishop McGrath and her husband Michael of Camdenton, Missouri and Randolph Hilland Bishop and his wife Rebecca, of Ocala, Florida. Five Grandchildren, Christine Noel Wind and her husband Eric of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, Tara Nicole Leslie and her husband Jeff, of Dallas Texas, Patrick Michael McGrath and his wife Marcela of Camdenton, Missouri, Victoria Bishop of Ocala, Florida and Miranda Bishop Barrineau and her husband Travis of Ocala Florida. Nine great grandchildren, Patrick Michael, Luke Joseph, Mark Xavier, Paul Gabriel McGrath, Charles Michael Wind, Julian Christopher Leslie, Adella Reyes, Graysen Presley and Ellasen Leigh Barrineau, Her loving sister and brother in law Janice and Jim Greene of Vero Beach and younger sister Cynthia Hilland of Seattle, Washington. And many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17th, 2016 at 3 PM, at the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach, 520 Royal Palm Blvd, Vero Beach, FL, a reception will follow.

The family suggests donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach in Ginny's honor.
